The idea of reducing concerto accompaniments to
string quartet or trio came about through the repeated frustration of those who
desired to program these works for recitals, but wanted something closer to the
real thing than piano accompaniment. These can be programmed on any chamber
music concert or recital. Robert Weiners reductions include the score and a
set of parts and are easily downloaded in PDF format.
